“Oh, then, that’s something in our style.”
“ Just look at our old mistress, where she sits
nodding in her sleep. Who would ever think she had
once been young and pretty?”

den that everybody who saw her took notice of her,
and said, ‘ What a fine girl!’ But you see, it is not
bestowed upon mankind, as upon us superior teapots,
to become more shining and beautiful year by year.
“Oh, I shall never forget when I saw her the first
time. I had but recently come from the workshop
