Now listen honey while I say:
How can you tell me that you are going away?
Don’t say that we must part.
Don’t break my aching heart.
You know I loved you true for many years,
Loved you night and day.
How can you leave me? Can’t you see my tears?
So listen while I say:
After you’ve gone and left me crying,
After you’ve gone there is no denying,
You feel blue, you feel sad,
You’ve missed the dearest pal you’ve ever had.
There’l come a time and don’t forget it
There’l come a time when you regret it
Some day when your heart grows lonely[1]
