be independent of all foreign supply, but she could provide the
whole world with a share of her enormous mineral wealth.
Here, undoubtedly, lie industrial and commercial
opportunities which will be appreciated in Great Britain.

The present position of the home production of minerals
in Russia, their exportation, importation, and the percentage
of their consumption provided for by the home production
in the years 1911 and 1912, is shown in the following table
taken from the Russian Statistical Annual, 1915 :
