is cut off in square slabs, for which purpose the
surface has to be lined by the same devices as
a gardener adopts in laying out flower-beds. The
man bolding the rope is guiding the cutter, who
follows him. The heap in the background is a
collection of odorous lumps from a previous carcass,
awaiting their turn at the guano verk. There is
no room for the tail in this edition.
