To the American-Scandinavian Foundation the English reading public is
indebted for the first adequate attempt to introduce the versatile genius who built
the foundation for drama in Denmark. It is not an attempt at “revival.”
Ludvig Holberg is too lusty to admit of reviving; he still lives, and most heartily
