snowdrops often come up
before the snow lias melted.
Then come primroses, violets
and daisies. It is lovely in
spring.
Summer is låte in our
country. I have my holidays in
the summer. Then I stay in
the country or at the sea-side
and have a jolly time. Summer
is short and sweet. One of
our queens said that we have
two winters, a white one,
and a green one.
Autumn has come. We get
lots of fruit: pears, apples,
plums, and nuts, but also
plenty of rain and mist.
It is fresh and cool in the
spring, it is hot in the summer,
it is damp, wet, and chilly
in the autumn, and it is cold
in the winter.
Which season of the year
do you like best? — I like
the summer best, because it
is sunny and warm, and
because I can be out of doors
as much as I like. — And you?
— I prefer the winter, because
I can go skiing and skating.
Christmas Day is on the
<25th December, the day before
is Christmas Eve, and the day
after is called Boxing Day.
In Sweden we have our
Christmas presents on Christmas
