sideration and transaction af business, whenever in their opinion
the interests of the Colony require it. And a special meeting
shall convene whenever a majority of the male adult members of
the Colony shall require such meeting, by signifying their request
to the trustees in writing five days previous to such meeting.
Article 6. Our property and industry and the proceeds thereof
shall constitute a common found, from, by and which it shall be
the duty of the. Board of Trustees to prov1de for the subsistence,
comfort and reasonable wants of every member of the Colony, for
the support of the aged and infirm, for the care and cure of the
sick and the burial of the dead, and for the proper education of
our children, and generally to “do and transact any all business
necessary to the prosperity, happiness and usefullnéss of the
OColony, and consistent with the charter organizing the same.
Article 7. Whenever a vacancy shall occeur in The Board of
Trustees, the same shall be filled at an election held for that
purpose by the adult male members of the Colony, and the person
receiving the highest number of votes shall be trustee.
Article 8. These by-laws may be revised, altered or
amended at any regular or called meeting of the adult male members
of the Colony, by a majority of those present and voting at such
a meeting.
