Ghe Qnknown Paradise,

GAROLD, a little lad, was lolling one day on
the beach, gazing at the sea, whose gentle
waves rippled to his feet. He had recently read
about sunny climes, where the vine hangs in gar-
lands between the trees, where oranges and lemons
grow amongst the green foliage, where fragrant
blossoms deck the mountains, and where the sky is
of an inexpressibly deep blue.
“Oh, I wish I was there!” sighed little Harold,

and his heart longed to fly away. He was seated
