frustra sit; vel ne inanis quorundam metus & nimis exquisita in rebus
superfluis Scrupulositas aliorum cordatis affectibus & pijs conatibus
remora sit: vel denique ne media quæ sine omni præiudicio &
dif-ficultate adhuc usurpari possunt; & rei haud dubie pondus ingens
allatura sunt, negligantur. Hoc si fiat confidenter spondeo
secutu-rum id, quod Ecclesiæ Dei salutiferum; quod causæ Euangelicæ
pro-ficuum; quod Illustr:ti V:ræ in Euangelico Fædere fæliciter dirigendo
summe gloriosum futurum est: & quod mihi iustissimam præstabit
causam ut ex animo dehinc ubique profitear me meaque studia

Most Reuerend Father in God,
Since the returne of the Lord Chancellour to this towne from
the countrye, I haue understood his resolution in my worke; w:ch
is that hee will propose it to bee thought upon in the counsell of
the regents, & moue them to determine y:t the Divines of the
Vniuersitie of Vbsall; or some of the Chief of them, should bee
appointed to treat with me further in this businesse; y:t some
effectual! course may bee resolued upon how it is to bee caried: hee
told me y:t hee himself was to go shortly thither, & y:t hee would
take me along with hirn in his Companye. From hence yowr Grace
doth see the inclination w:ch is here towards the worke.
