of theire resolution should be put in print and 1 suppose this is a
doeing except perhapps the Lord Chancelour stop it.

Thus I am wrestling with many difficulties and labour to bring
the matter to this passe that I may give the B[isho]pp of Westerose
particuler satisfaction to all that he can pretend. But he doth flee
the light all that he can. The Diet doth drawe to an end, and I am
tould by one of the Clergie to whom the Lord Chancelour spoke
it, that yf the Clergie will not give me a good answere and
resolution in my worke that he and the Lords his Colleagues will doe
it in the Queenes name. Tyrne will shewe what the yssue will be
and all my Course must be with patience and vnblamable open
dealeing to overcome the malice of rayling and iniurious suspitions
and aspersions which are the weapons of him of Westerose.

I doe not heare that the busines of the Court Ecclesiasticall
hath bene proposed or spoken of in publique perhapps it hath not
as yet been seasonable, for the Lord Chancelour doth worke closely
and will goe sure. I have not sent nowe a Copie of that which is
printed, because I will first see whether or noe they will print any
thing in answere to it, and then both shall be sent togeather. I
pray you make my excuses to Mr B: that I doe not write for you
see that I have nothing to relate but broyles and difficult wrestlings
of my spirit with the wilfulnes of him of Westerose whoe laboureth
by all meanes eyther to affront me or the worke, but I hope in
God all shall be in vaine.

[John Durie].
