2 I O SlGURD LINDQUIST

Liknande uttryck äro: »inpouring of the Spirit», »inpouring
of the sweetness of holy love», »inpoured savour of heavenly
sweetness», »a love which fires the heart», »the soul is set
aglow with the love of God», »sweetly refreshed with delicious
love», »experiences joy ineffable».1 — Av vikt ur flera
synpunkter är följande:

»When the Lörd comes as a consuming fire and His Presence
is understood in the power by which the soul is changed and in the
love by which it is inflamed . . . then ensues a certain sudden and
unwonted enlargement of mind and an inpouring of light illuminating

transformed into the same clarity of light, so that it seems to be
not merely illumined, but the light itself: so it will needs be that
all human affection in the Saints will then, in some ineffable way,

Otherwise how will God be all in all, if in man somewhat remains
over of man?»3

»Love is filled with itself, and where love has come it
over-comes and transforms all other feelings. Wherefore the soul that
