                                        QVANTAM olim Reges , ac Principes Gothorum de
                                        perpetuanda nobili fama, ac bellica claritate curam habuere ,
                                        arma , signaque ,& clypei eorum illustribus locis inArma,et clypei testantur nobilitatem stirpis.
                                        sculpta. , ac posteris relicta evidenter ostendunt , præsertim
                                        in Ostrogothia ,ac Vestrogothia,& Australi Finlandia, in
                                        magnifico portu Hangœ appellato: qui tam lætus , ac securusHangœ securissimus portus.
                                        est ,vt in toto Septentrionali mari , & forsitan amplo
                                        Oceano parem non habeat , qui eidem valeat comparari .
                                        Omnes enim vndecunque navigantes libere recipit in suum
sinum , secureque introrsum tam a tempestatibus , quam hostili classe, sua naturali
munitione (modo ipsi sibi deesse non velint)protegit,& conservat. Portus etenimPortus velut castellum.
iste in modum amplissimæ arcis in mediis montibus ,ac vallibus amœne situs est:
habentque in cautibus vetustissima heroum Gothorum , ac Sueonum insignia , literato
ordine , sed antiqua simplicitate insculpta, maxime ad ostendendum posteris,ibi
olim classem pro regnorum defensione contra quoscunque hostiles insultus continua
expeditione stationem tenuisse , atque inde ad aperta arma , quoties opus fuerat, prodiisse .
Hodieque frequentius in eodem portu ,ob similem causam , armatas classes
tam Princeps , quam nobiles habent , præsertim quia vicina loca omnia suppeditare Loca vicina vtilia.
possunt , quæ subito requiri videntur ad confœderatorum armatam classem : omniaque
in hostes contraria verti , si perniciem stucturi in hunc accesserint portum .
