                                        HAC similitudine curribus falcatis, & hamatis inter præcipuos
                                        bellorum apparatus olim vsi sunt Sueonum, & Gothorum
Hostes Aquilonarium regnorum.                                         pugnatores, præsertim in acrioribus præliis contra
                                        validissimos exercitus Teutonum, Danorum, & Ruthenorum,
                                        eo videlicet modo, vt exploratis hostium. accessibus,
                                        quibus videbantur ventun, vacuos currus axibus bene
                                        vndis in declivibus montium lateribus firmis trabibus
                                        alligarent, saxisque repletos velut pendulos pontes in funibus
                                        statuerent, soliis virentibus, aut ramis vndique cooperientes,
donec hostes præcipiti accessum, trepida simulata fuga, ad obducta discrimina incitarent,
Insidiæ curruum, saxosorum. atque curruum dissolutorum celeri cursui vel lacerandos subiicerent, aut aciales
les cuneos infringerent dispergendos. Quo facto & qui prius visi sunt fugere, & aliæ
sociales turmæ, sive equestres, sive pedestres, agminatim irruere solebant in dispersos,
Currus est ad propugnacula servabaritur. aut resistentes. Curribus demum eisdem veluti propugnaculis mobilibus, vbi
opus fuerat, in reliquis certaminibus semper vtentes, eo moderamine inviolabiliter
observato, quod curruum directoribus, seu aurigis, duplo majus quam equitibus
stipendium, & spolium redderetur. Itidem & his, qui bigas, sive curricula stipitibus
lateraliter antrorsum serratis cuspidibus, hisque mucronatis inter hostes discurrendo
