<h2>Preface to the electronic edition</h2>
<p>These two volumes in English were published in 1914, and was
showcased at the 1915
<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PPIE" >Panama Pacific
International Exposition</a> in San Francisco, but had already
appeared <a href="/schwed13/" >in German the year before</a>. The
following year, <a href="/sverig15/" >a Swedish translation</a> was
published. This English edition was digitized at Cornell University
Library in March 2010 and copied to Project Runeberg for OCR and
proofreading in April 2012.
<p>The indexing here follows the printed table of contents. It doesn't
cover every subheading in the text. At the end of volume 2 is a
<a href="2/0727.html" >list of literature</a> and a detailed
<a href="2/0743.html" >alphabetic index</a>.
