Who Knows our Harvest? we Knew newermore
Such plasant weather any year before
The fields, seas, woods, and all the beast were glad
Now mourn they all the very Roks are sad:
The Trees have (since Carlisle for England goes
Leaving the green, put on theire mourning Cloths
The Heaven self in this our northren Spheares
For your departure wil raine floods of teares
But all the Gods Great Lord wil frame Your vvil
Mercury tould me this on Helicons Hil,
VVhen Heavens Parliament was in good accords
Then to all Gods did Jupiter speake those words.

Jupiter.

QVid multo rapidi misceniur murmure fluctus?
Impete quid Cœco flamina faeva runnt?
Heus Neptune tuo fluctus compesce Tridente
Æole prœcipites carcere claude Nothos
Non vagus est Vobis nunc deducendus Ulysses
Non pius Æneas Numina vestra rogat
En Cytherea Venus, Mavors, & Cyprius Insans
Creduntur Vestrae Numina chara fidei
At vos, Vos reliqvi Cœlestia Numina Divi
In columes socios concomitate Deos
lllos ut par est omnes deducite salvos,
Illos Angliacis reddite litoribus.

Neptunus.

GREAT Jupiter j shal in nothing faile
As soone my Lord Carlisle put’s up his fail
Then I wil goe my self to cut the flods
Before his skip with al my water Gods
Castor and Pollux shal sit on the mail:
Til he al dangerous seas and weawes is past
And round about shal blowing Tritons rise
Their trompets and Sirenes to sing his praise
Not to bewich him like the did Ulys
We know all that Carlisle farr wiser is.
Thus Your command Great Jupiter we wil doe
We have no soveraing but Britans King next You.

Æolus.

Ik heb wat u belieft al tyd to doê bemint
Sou ik’er tegen staen? ik ben maer bloot een Wind.
