Runeberg.

Äldste kände stamfadern Lars Falk, sannolikt född omkr. 1650 i Runneby i Jämtland, blef underofficer i Carl XII:s här och omkom 1718 under fälttåget mot Norge. Efter hans födelseort ändrades släktnamnet af hans son.
