Bruhn, Anders,

biskop, teologisk författare. född i Stockholm d. 30 nov. 1778. Föräldrar: handelsmannen Henrik Classon Bruhn och Gunilla Knape.

Sedan B. i Lund 1805 blifvit filosofie magister, utnämndes han till rektor i Uddevalla 1807. Två år därefter gymnasii-adjunkt i Göteborg, befordrades han 1814 till teologie lektor. 1836 utnämnd till domprost i Västerås, blef han biskop i Göteborg 1840.

Hans Christna kyrkans allmänna historia 1822 och Compendium Theologiæ dogmaticæ in usum juventutis adornatum 1827 utgjorde länge de hörnstenar, på hvilka samtidens teologer byggde sin större eller mindre dogmatiska färdighet. Teologie doktor 1830. Död d. 23 febr. 1856.

Gift 1816 med Harriet Sofia Clason.
