Grand Prix d’Europe vanns i år av Alfa Romeo,
till vilket märke vi levererat betydande
kvantiteter kullager.
I Coppa delle Alpi, en särdeles ansträngande
tävling — bl. a. passerades passet Stelvio på 2,760
meters höjd i snö i augusti — hava S K
F-ut-rustade vagnar av märket OM placerat sig som
N:ris 1, 2, 4 och 5.
En trogen kund till SKF synes vara Moto
Guzzi, som redan förut vunnit triumfer i Italien.
Nu har den åter vunnit en viktig tävlan på
Monzabanan utanför Milano, och den segrande
motorcykeln har utställts till beskådande i S K F:s
utmärkta skyltfönster.
Moto Gilera — också en helt S K F-försedd
motorcykel — har under september vunnit två
större tävlingar, varvid den i den första höll en
medelfart av 89,9 km. i timmen.

The Italian Automobile Industry
The rapid growth of the European automobile industry
seems to indicate that in this respect Europe is going
through an evolution somewhat like that in U. S. A. The
Italian automobile industry, which Mr Bursie describes
in his article, is one of the largest in Europe, and in it
S K P have found very valuable clients.
Internal Combustion Engines with
SKF Bearings
Sweden exports considerable quantities of internal
combustion engines, especially for fishing and other small craft.
For very high quality the reputation of the engines appears
to be akin to that of many other similar articles of
Swedish manufacture.
In this article the various manufacturers of internal
combustion engines give some data regarding their
machines, and the advantages which, in their opinion, are
afforded to this manufacture by the use of ball or roller
bearings. In view of the increasing use of this type of
machine for stationary and marine purposes, it is a source
of keen satisfaction that SKF self-aligning ball and roller
bearings appear to be specially adapted for this
application.
Ball Bearings in Automobile Engines
Mr Heldt, an American automobile engineer, has
recently written an article on the use of ball bearings in
automobile engines, and he seems to be of the opinion
that in this field ball bearings afford nothing but
advantages. The article in »Sfären» is a short summary of Mr
Heldt’s article.
