Preface to the electronic edition
Norwegian journalist Benjamin Wegner Nørregaard was a war
correspondent for Daily Mail and author of Port Arthurs
beleiring (1905, in Norwegian). This English translation from 1906
mentions no translator, and may be by the author's own hand. Also
published was a German translation by Walther Schmidt, Die
Belagerung von Port Arthur (1906).
The book was digitized in May 2017 at Duke University Libraries by
the Internet Archive, from where the scanned images and OCR text in
February 2020 were copied to Project Runeberg for proofreading.
This volume was scanned elsewhere and made available by the Internet Archive,
