Gas Power Station.
A large steel and pig-iron foundry has been erected at Ljusne, calculated both for
the Company’s own requirements and for selling purposes. Steel castings and ingots
of Dannemora quality are turned out there in electric steel-furnaces of the Rennerfelt
system.
Two charcoal works at Ljusne and Woxna produce 60,000 cub. metres (1,650,000
bushels) of charcoal annually, besides the by-products: tar, tar oil, carbolineum,
turpentine, wood spirit, acetate of lime, &c.
FARMING, FORESTRY AND WATER POWER.
The Company owns 260 hectares (625 acres) of arable land which is cultivated in
accordance with modern systems of agriculture.
The forests cover 75,000 hectares (185,000 acres), and are utilized for the
production of charcoal, sawn- and planed wood goods, the latter being manufactured at a
saw-mill with 8 highspeed frames at Ljusne and another with 1 frame at Woxna.
The Company’s power stations develop 3850 HP, 3650 HP at Ljusne and 200 HP
at Woxna. The water power in reserve is estimated at about 40,000 HP, part of which
is going to be used within short.
FINANCIAL DATA, ADDRESSES, &c.
The share capital is: 10,000,000 kronor.
Funds: 1,000,000 kronor. Number of workmen: 1,000. The value of the annual
production is 21 million kronor.
