The Kloster
Company also carries on
scientific forestry, and owns
fully up-to-date saw
mills with 5 frames, which
handle yearly about
250,000 logs, yielding
some 4,000 standards.
The total number of
hands at all the works and other establishments of the Kloster Co. amounts to
about 1,600.
The share capital is 17,000,000 kronor, and the value of the productions
amounts to about 17,000,000 kronor yearly. The Railway-, Postal-,
Telephone-address, of the Chief- and Selling Offices is: Långshyttan, Sweden. The
telegram-address is: "Kloster" Hedemora, Sweden. Shipments are carried out via Gefle and
Stockholm, the distance of Långshyttan from these two ports being 56 and 130 miles,
respectively.
