paper are supplied by it to the home-, as well as to the foreign market. The paper mill
has also a pulp and a wood-grinding mill, the products of which are utilized entirely
by the paper mill.

POWER STATIONS.

The beautiful Kolbäck River, which flows past Surahammar, forms several
waterfalls near the said works. Power stations supplying 4,000 HP have been erected at
these falls. In addition, there is an auxiliary steam-power station of about 600 HP.
The power for the Company’s establishments at the Norberg ore-fields and
Spännarhyttan is obtained from the power station at Nordansjö already mentioned. The
Company has also large water-power resources which have not as yet been developed.
The total power available for present and future needs amounts to 10,000 HP.

The Company has about 1,850 employees in its service. Their comfort is arranged
for in many ways, inter alia by comfortable houses, the workmen dwellings, too, having
balcony-gardens which with their beautiful verdure and varigated flowers make a very
pleasing impression in the summer.

ECONOMICAL DATA, ADDRESSES, &c.

The value of the Company’s annual production amounts to about 20 million kronor.
The Company works on a commission basis for the Swedish General Electric Co.,
Ltd. The Board of Directors consists of Messrs. J. S. Edström, Arthur Linden and
H. Silverstolpe, the latter being managing director, with Mr. A. M. C. Sjöholm,
manager, as deputy. The head office is at Surahammar with railway-, canal-, postal-,
telephone- and telegraphic addresses: Surahammar, Sweden.

Sörstafors Paper Mill has its offices at Sörstafors, with railway-, telephone- and
telegraphic addresses: Kolbäck, Sweden.

The Company has a branch office in Stockholm, 5, Malmtorgsgatan.
