Machine Hall, Deje Paper Mills.
From the very opening of the works, the sulphate pulp manufacture at this
factory has been satisfactory in the highest degree, and there was at once a large
demand for this sulphate pulp, which was placed on the market with the brand »MT».
Its present standing is due to the fact that the factory is provided with the most
up-to-date machinery and which has adopted methods that, here too, are the result of long
experience.
This mark, consequently, is considered by paper makers all over the world as
the most excellent kraft pulp to be had anywhere, and, as a proof of this, it may be
mentioned that, as long as it was in the market, it always brought a considerably
higher price than any other similar product.
One half of the total manufacture of the Deje Sulphate Mill, amounting to
about 20,000 tons yearly, was, until a few years ago, turned into paper at the
company’s paper mills at Klarafors, the other portion being sold.
The favourable results obtained by the employment of the Deje sulphate pulp at the
company’s own mills led to the decision to erect another paper mill, so that the entire
production of the Deje Sulphate Mill could be turned into paper by the company itself.
