1905 and embrace 2 frames and 1 double edging bench. The yearly production
amounts to 1,500 standards of sawn and planed goods.

Edsvalla Saw Mills, close to Edsvalla railway station, have 2 frames and 1
edging bench. The yearly output amounts to 700 standards sawn goods.

In addition to the above, the Company is the owner of several small saw mills
to supply the firm’s own wants.

POWER STATIONS.

At the Dejefors Works, on the river Klarälven, the company owns the Dejefors
Power station, which is mounted to give about 7,000 HP. This station supplies
energy to Klarafors Sulphite and Paper Mills, and also to the town of Karlstad.

On the river Norsälven the company has the Frykfors Power station, which,
at present, has been mounted for no more than 2,400 HP. From this central there is
supplied power to a large number of the company’s factories, mentioned above, as well
as to a number of other industrial concerns, to towns and villages.

In addition to the above described wood goods factories and power stations, the
company has, on its extensive domains, a number of small industrial enterprises, such
as flour mills, brickworks, limestone quarries, etc.

FORESTS.

At an early period of its existence, the company acquired extensive tracts of
forest land in Värmland, situated for the most part in the basin of the river
Klarälven. The branch companies, too, have enabled the Mölnbacka-Trysil Company
to come into possession of large forest estates, so that the total area of forest land
owned by the company amounts at presents to about 70,000 hectares (175,000 acres,
or not far from 300 square miles) of productive timberland. Some of the company’s
forests are situated in the northernmost, rugged tracts of Värmland, but considerable
areas lie in the central and southern parts of the province, where the best timber
growth is to be reckoned upon. The greatest care is paid to the Company’s forests,
a staff of scientifically trained foresters having been engaged for the purpose.

The transport of timber from the Company’s own and leased forests is, for the
most part, carried out by floating down the Klarälven and its tributaries.

On the numerous cottage-allotments and small farms existing amid its woodlands
the Company has a large number of trained lumbermen, and it employs these men
for the purpose of felling and transporting the timber on its forest estates and for the
conservation work which is steadily carried on.
