electrification of the Company’s Works and other establishments of various kinds,
somewhat more than half of this has been mounted during the last few years, or is in process
of being developed. During 1914, for exemple, Forshult Power station, in the’ river
Klarälven, was finished, rendering 22,000 HP. Then followed the power stations
Malta, Knon and Nain, in the river PTfån — a tributary of the Klarälven — each
of 4,300 HP. At Hagfors, Munkfors, Storfors and Nykroppa, there is a total of
6,000 HP., while, in course of building, there is the Krakerud Power station, in the
river Klarälven, of 12,500 HP., and the Stjern Power station, in the Ufån, of 1.000 HP.
WOOD MANUFACTURING PLANTS.
Uddeholm has’ long had a saw mill at Munkfors, where timber from the
Company’s own forests, and some amount of bought timber was sawn to supply the needs
of the Works, and also for selling purposes. This timber was floated down the
Klarälven and its tributaries from the Company’s forests, and was taken from the water at
Munkfors. In consequence of the unsatisfactory floating arrangements then in existence,
