Haga Mechanical Pulp Mill.
indirect boiling, 4 pyrites furnaces with sulphur-furnaces in reserve and, furthermore,
2 machines for producing wet pulp and 2 drying machines. The number of workmen
is about 160.
The factory’s goods station is Slottsbron, on the Bergslagernas Railway. For
transport by sea it has its own quays in a bay of Lake Yenern.
The Brättne Sulphite Mill is at Brättne Bruk, to the north of Arvika. This
factory was constructed in 1906 and manufactures about 10,000 tons of wet, strong
sulphite pulp per annum. Motive-power: a 150 HP. water turbine. The factory
has 2 boilers for direct and indirect boiling, 2 pyrites-furnaces with
sulphur-furnaces in reserve, besides 2 machines for wet pulp. The number
of workmen is 25. Brand: SWEDEN
The factory’s goods station is Ottebol on the state railway Laxå—Charlottenberg.
The Kyrkebyn Sulphite Factory. By acquiring the majority
of the shares in the Borgvik Company, Ltd, Billerud has also obtained
control of the Kyrkebyn Sulphite Factory in the parish of Ed. This mill
was built in 1905 and has an annual production of 7,000 tons of dry,
bleached sulphite pulp. The shipping mark that is used is shown here:
The mill has 3 rotating boilers, 2 drying machines and 1 pyrites-furnace with a reserve
sulphur-furnace. The number of hands is 200. The factory is run by electricity.
The factory’s goods-station is Segmon on the Bergslagernas Railway, besides which
the mill has connections with the sea from its quay at Kyrkebyn on Lake Venern.
