Sulphate mills.

The company’s only sulphate mill is at Stomne on Stomue Bay, which is an
extension of the river Byalven.

This mill, which originally produced sulphite pulp, was established in 1886 and
turned into a sulphate mill in 1910 and extended in 1915. It has an annual [STOMNE

production of about 6,000 tons of extra strong kraft sulphate pulp, marked: Made in Sweden
Driving power: electricity of about 150 HP. and also a water turbine for about 125 HP.
The factory has 4 sulphate boilers, one soda furnace, 9 edge runners and 1 drying
machine. As by-products there are annually obtained about 25 tons of purified turpentine
and 20 tons of methyl alcohol. The number of employees is 75.

The mill’s goods-station is Arvika on the main line Laxå—Charlottenberg.

The goods address for boat traffic is Stömne.

Mechanical wood pulp mills.

While the company’s chemical pulp mills are concentrated on the estates in West
Vermland, its 5 mechanical pulp mills, on the other hand, are scattered over all the
company’s complexes of properties.

The Haga Pulp Mill is under the jurisdiction of the Hillringsberg Works on
the Glafs Fjord in the parish of Glafva.

The mill was erected in 1891, but was entirely reconstructed after a fire in 1912. Its
annual production amounts to 11,000 tons wet, mechanical wood-pulp of the brand H F.
The mill is partly driven by electricity, 600 HP., from the company’s own power
system, and partly from two water turbines with a total of 1,650 HP. The
machinery equipment consists of 6 grinders, three of which are for 150 HP. each, and
three for 350 HP. each. Besides these there are centrifugal assorters, 3 refining machines
and 10 cardboard machines. The mill employs 45 hands.

The goods-station for the Haga Grinding-mill is Arvika on the main line Laxa—
Charlottenberg. There is boat traffic to Hillringsberg.

The Jossefors Wood-pulp Mill comes under the Jossefors Works in
the parish of Arvika at Algaviken, an arm of the Glafs Fjord. This mill
dates very far back, was destroyed by fire and completely
reconstructed in 1892; it was again extended in 1901, 1907 and 1911. It was

reerected after a fire in 1919. Its present annual production is 20,000
