THE ANNUAL MEETING

The Annual meeting of the Swedish Historical Society
was held in the assembly room of the Minnesota
Historical Library, St. Paul, Minn., December 12, 1924,
at 8 p. m.

The president and treasurer read their annual reports
which were approved.

Members of the Council were elected, as follows:
C. J. Swendsen, G. Arvid Hagstrom, Mike Holm, C. J.
Swanson, and Adolf Olson, all for a term of three years.

Upon recommendation of the Council, Eric Corey,
Fairfield, Iowa, and John Olson, Sioux Falls, S. Dak.,
were elected honorary members of the Society.

Dr. C. G. Lagergren presented the Society with a
copy of “Bibelns Grundlaror”, a volume of over 1,000
pages. The gift was accepted with thanks to the author.

Before the business session members and visitors
listened with great interest to papers read by professor
Theo. W. Anderson, president of Minnehaha Academy,
on “The Swedish Pioneers of Kansas”, and by Mr. Victor
E. Lawson, editor of Willmar Tribune, on “Early
Settlements in the Kandiyohi region and their fate in the
Indian uprising of 1862.”
