EXTRACTS OF PROCEEDINGS.

Council Meeting, January 30, 1914.

A report was presented from the Committee on the
Library building, recommending that a sum of $10*000 be
raised, in larger and smaller subscriptions* as a building
fund, and that Mr. Alfred Söderström be elected solicitor
and financial agent. On motion this recommendation was
accepted by the Council

The chairman was requested to appoint five members
to constitute a Building Fund Committee, beside the
secretary who also shall be secretary of this committee* The
following were appointed, A. G S. Josephson, Fritz Shoultz,
N, M. Hokanson, Frank Gustafson, G. Hallbom and C G*
Wallenius,

Governor A. 0* Eberhart of Minnesota was elected an
honorary member

The Building Fund Committee was empowered to fix the
salary of the financial agent and was given authority to
act on all questions relating to the raising of funds for
the library building.

Council Meeting, June 30, 1914,

Messrs A. E. Johnson of New York and C. S. Peterson of
Chicago were elected life members of the Society.

The secretary reported that the book “The Swedes on
the Delaware’1 by the Rev. Clay had been reprinted and
that Mr. Henry S. Hen sc hen had advanced the money for
the expenses, A vote of thanks to Mr. Henschen was
ordered and that he shall be reimbursed for the amount. The
distribution of this book is to be in the hands of the
Publication Committee.

Annual Meeting, November 10, 1914.

The ninth annual meeting of The Swedish Historical
Society was held in the Swedish Seminary, Evanston, to give
