“Linnaea,” a collection of verse by Swedish-Ameriean
publicists of Chicago (1887) ; “Eterneller och
Vårblommor” (1888 : , a collection of poems by Swedish authors;
“Valda Skrifter af Job. A: Enander” (1892);
“Nordmännen i Amerika eller Amerikas pptäekt 1892);
“Våra Fäders Sinnelag” (Stockholm, 1894) ; “’Den
Svenska Sången under det Nittonde Seklet,” Vol. I
(1901), an anthology of Swedish poets of the
nineteenth century, half completed. The volume
containing his selected works was designated as the first,
but a second volume has not so far appeared. The
firm of Enander & Bohman published a number of
books, including the Swedish hymnal, and also “När
och F jer ran.” a literary monthly. Enander served for
some time as editor of “Ungdomsvännen/’ started in
1879, and made numerous contributions to annuals and
other periodical publications. Enander’s ability as a
public speaker was widely recognized. As political
speaker he participated in all presidential campaigns
from 1872 to 1904 and filled numerous appointments
as lecturer and festival oiator. The following degrees
and distinctions were conferred on him: LL.D. by
Augustana College 1892) : “Litteris et Artibus” medal
by King Oscar I i (1905) : award of 500 crowns by the
Swedish Academy (1910). Dr. Enander was an
honorary member of the Polish National Alliance of America,
as also of the Swedish Historical Society, of which he
was one of the organizers and first president. He was
married -Tune 22, 1872, to Miss Malinda Lawson, who
