A proposition to affiliate other organizations with the
Society through their holding a single membership was
approved.
The publication committee was given until February
to complete the next year hook and authorized to print
not less than 1,000 nor more than 1,500 copies.
ANNUAL MEETING, SEPTEMBER 7, 1910.
The Society met at the Swedish Club, 1260 La Salle
avenue, Chicago, at 8 p. in.
The committee on nominations to the council
recommended Dr. Ludvig Holmes, Evanston, ill., to succeed
Prof. ,T. E. Ilillberg, Mr. Gustaf 1 tallbom to succeed
Mr. John B. Lindgren, and Mr. Ernst W. Olson, Prof.
C. G. Wallenius and Mr. Anders Sehcin for re-election.
These recommendations were adopted.
The council was authorized to deposit the collections
of the society with some public library, on condition
that they be catalogued, bound and kept intact.
The president, Dr. Josua Lindalil, read a paper on
some late researches bearing on the geographical
loca-tion of Vinland the Good. This paper appears
elsewhere in this Yearbook.
COUNCIL MEETING, SEPTEMBER 12, 1910.
Dr. C. W. Foss, Rock Island, 111., was elected a
member of the council in the vacancy caused by the death of
Hon. C. J. A. Ericson, Boone, la.
The council was organized by the election of the
following officers and committees, to wit:
