Participiuin perfektum, som alltid är lika med-
supinum, bildas regelbundet genom tillägg af ändelsen ed (eller cl).
Anm. Uti böjningsändelsen ed (impf. o. p. perf.) blir e hörbart,
endast när stammen slutar på d eller t, eljest är detta e stumt: I asked.
jag frågade: asked, frågat; I clasped, jag knäppte; clasped, knäppt.

Substantivelis pluralis bildas i allmänhet medelst tillägg
af S till singularis.

Böjningsändelsen S uttalas lent, såvida den ej står efter
något af de hårda konsonantljuden f, k, p, t (samt hårdt th).
Jemför the shoes, the rooms med the roofs, the lakes, lie asks, the
cups, the kites.
Anm. Då s lägges till ett substantiv, som slutar på hårdt th efter
långt vokalljud. få stundom både s och th lent uttal, jfr t. ex.
the mouth — the mouths: the path — the paths

med: the smith, smeden — the smiths, smederna.
