When I fpeak of a night’s lodging at the peafants’ houfes, or
common ftages, it is to be underftood that you are furnifhed with
a bed, confifting of a mattrefs, blankets, and a cover made of calf
or lamb-fkins: there are no fheets to be had. Fuel and firing is
in great plenty every where.
