Four thousand soldiers of the 8gth Division at Camp Funston enjoying the "Messiah" sung by the famous Bethany Oratorio
Society of Lindsborg, Kansas. Two concerts were given by the chorus of 5<X3 voices in the All-Kansas Building, May 13, 1918.
The trip was made possible by the generosity of the following Kansas City finns: The Kansas City Star, Southwest National
Bank of Commerce, J. \V. Jenkins Sons’ Music Co., Long-Bell Lumber Co., and Emery, Bird, Thayer Co.
