entre 25 et 50 centimes (suisses) pour chaque membre de cette Association ou sur la
base de 5 à 10 % du montant de la cotisation de membre de l’Association; mais elle
ne devra pas excéder la somme de 2.500 fr. suisses pour une même Association. Les
cotisations seront payées au Secrétaire avant le premier mars ou le premier mars de
chaque année. Le montant des cotisations constituera le budget de la Fédération.
Art. 10. Toute Association peut se retirer de la Fédération, si Sa cotisation pour
l’année en cours a été payée.
Art. 11. Les amendements aux présents statuts peuvent être adoptés par le
Comité.
Art. 12. Les résolutions adoptées par le Comité ou par un Congrès tenu sous
ses auspices, ne lieront aucune des Associations-membres, jusqu’à ce qu’elles aient
été ratifiées par cette Association.

INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF LIBRARY ASSOCIATIONS.
STATUTES.
Section 1. The name of this organisation shall be the International Federation
of Library Associations.
Section 2. The object of the Federation shall be to promote international library
coopération.
Section 3. Members of the Federation shall be those Library Associations
which approve thèse Statutes and which comply with such other provisions as are
adopted from time to time. Associations with allied interests may be admitted to
mem-bership by vote of the Committee.
Section 4. The affairs of the Federation shall be administered by the
International Library Committee; this Committee shall consist of representatives selected
by Associations which are members of the Federation. There shall be from each country
only one designated member or substitute with the right to vote, but with him may
be associated delegates. Delegates are elected for a period not exceeding 5 years but
are eligible for re-election.
Section 5. The duties of the Committee shall be to sélect the time and place
for international library conférences and writh the co-operation of local committees to
prépare programmes for such conférences and to make investigations and
recom-mendations concerning international relations between libraries, organizations of
librarians and bibliographers and other agencies.
Section 6. International library conférences shall be held at least once in five
years. Plenary sessions of the Committee must be held in connection with each
international library conference. Other sessions may be held at the call of the Chairman
and must be held when requested by one third of the Committee.
Section 7. The Committee shall have power to appoint subcommittees from
its own members or from the members of any of the co-operating library Associations.
Section 8. The officers of the Federation and of the Committee shall be a
President, two Vice Presidents and a Secretary. These officers shall constitute the
Executive Board and shall be elected by the Committee for a term to expire not later than
