Isla Desolacion.

Mit Tafel 2.
Uber Süsswasseralgen (exkl. Diatomaceen) der Inseln südlich der
Magelhaens-Strasse ist folgendes veröffentlicht:
J. D. Hooker erwähnt in The Botany of the antarctic Voyage I.
Mora Antarctica II, London 1847, Batrachospermum vagum Ag. und
Chrooleplis aureus Harv., beide aus Hermite Island. Letzteres ist
nach Hariot 1892 (siehe unten) der Trentepohlia polycarpa Nees et
Mont. identisch. — 1888 erwähnt G. B. de Toni ’ Trentepohlia potycarpa
NEES et Mont. aus Staten Island. — 1889 zählt derselbe Forscher2
folgende Formen auf: Botrydium granulatum (L.) Grev., Trentepohlia
aurea f. tomentosa KüTZ., Cladophora glomerata (L.) KOTZ., Anabaena
oscillarioides Bory, Cylindrospermum lichenifornie Kitz, aus Staten
Island, Pithophora aequalis WlTTR., Aphanocapsa cruenta (Ag.) Hansg.
und Nostoc commune Vauch. aus Ushuvaja. — Im selben Jahre
veröffentlichte P. Hariot3 folgende Formen aus diesen Gegenden:
Micro-coleus friesii Thür. (Ile Hoste), Stigonema polyceras Ki tz. (Cap Horn),
Bichatia confluens Trevis. (lie L’Hermite, baie Saint-Martin), Zygnena sub-
