anaphase I. Such a braking effect was also observed by UPCOTT (1939) in the
genically male sterile Lathijrux odoratus under conditions ralher similar lo
lliose described here.
As might be expected from the experiences of olher authors, the meiosis
and the meiotic chromosomes seem to be verv liable to damage, whereas the
