Tornao is the chief town of Welt Bothnia, about three
hundred and twenty miles north eaft of Stockholm, fitua-
ted on a river of the fame name, which rifes in Lapland,
runs fouth eaft, and falls at Tornao into the Gulf of Both-
nia. They have atolerable trade here in Furs with the
