Knox, Hugh, var 1768 og llgd. Aar Præst i Dansk Vestindien,
først paa Øen Saba, senere paa St. Croix. 1775, da han havde
været Præst i 20 Aar, og i c. 17 Aar praktiseret som Læge paa
»de hollandske Eylande«, søgte han om at maatte praktisere i
dansk Vestindien og indsendte i den Anledning en skreven Af-
handling »De bile«.

i Vestindien uden at underkaste sig Examen, f 1790 paa St. Croix
som Præst i Christianssted.
