wellworn phrase came to mind again as I wandered
through the ruins of Warsaw. It is easy to
understand the almost overwhelming problems which
Poland has to struggle with. But one also notices a
stubborn will and a strong purpose to build again
that which has been destroyed, a will which has its
roots in the Polish patriotism which has so often
triumphed in the course of history.
