The book was simultaneously reviewed in the Danish periodical, Kvinden og Samfundet (Woman and Community), where an especially laudatory article by Magdalena Thoreson ended with the following words: "Wherever the woman movement makes its righteous progress in the north, honour and gratitude should be shown Ellen Key for her noble work."
