The Honble
A. von Hartmansdorff!
Wherever I go, a strong desire is expressed, that a meeting of
Temperance friends should be held while Baird is in town; this
seems more desireable as Wieselgren is on his way here, and may
be expected next Sabbath. I am aware that the S.N.S. [Svenska
Nykterhetssällskapet] cannot well hold a meeting until the Directors
are called together which can scarcely take place this week, engaged
as you are. It is therefore suggested that »Filialföreningen» should
have a meeting next Monday in the Exchange room, and the S.N.S.
on the 2nd or 3rd Sept. when Mess:s B. & W. return from the North.
Only Monday can be taken as our friends set off for Upsala on
Tuesday morning, where a meeting is expected same evening. I
would propose the meeting Monday at 12 noon, and our Direction
meets I presume as usual at 5 P.M.
Have the goodness to favour me with a word in pencil or any
form, that I may know wether you have any objection to this
arrangement. It seems desireable that Wieselgren should be seen & heard
on the way up, preparatory to a great meeting on the way down.

Swenska Nykterhets Sällskapets första Filial-förening får genom
dess Förvaltnings-Utskott, wördsammast anmoda Herr Prosten att vid
Föreningens qvartals-sammankomst å Stora Börssalen, nästk. måndag
den i7de Augusti meddela sådana uplysningar i Nykterhetssaken som
han finner lämpligast. Utskottet anhåller äfven att Herr Prosten
behagade med ett religiöst tal i ämnet uppbygga Föreningens Leda-
