anything satisfactory in this way. If in the future I should succeed in
obtaining some particulars on this subject, I will hasten to send them
to you, as I hope that your interest in the progress of the Gospel in
our northern lands is unaltered.

Recommending this dear cause to your love and your prayers, I

[Odaterat.]1

Rev. A. E. Campbell, D. D.—As I feel convinced that you have
not lost your old interest in what is going on in our land, I wish to
give you some news from us, though no very remarkable things have
occurred. I work, with preaching and writing as before; the colporteurs
and deaconesses do their work silently and often unnoticed, and the
Lord is blessing our work in the love of it. It is true, the awakenings

herself, has already most willingly been acceded to, and four sisters
have entered upon this new sphere of activity. Two of them are
working at Norborg and two of them at Augustenborg, where hospitals
have been arranged.

I think it will interest you to hear something of the secret werk
of the Lord in the hearts of individuals, which is commonly hidden to
our eyes, but with which I am sometimes aquainted through my
correspondence and conversation with inquiring souls. I wish this time
