when the first presse and thronge is passed, I will get a turné. In
the meane tyrne I learne the circumstances of all things & in due
tyrne will giue you an Account by shippinge, For to write largely
by the pöste is very chargeable and neither I nor mr Hartlieb is
able to beare longer these great charges. I haue great hopes of
ye Channc: and the rulers of this state, For it is certaine y:t they
are much addicted to the worke, onely the difficultie will bee
towards some of the Clergie and Bishops that are here, yet if it can
enter to any amiable treatie with them, I hope to doe well enough.
I could now wish that my Lord of Duresme would cause his booke
to bee printed w:ch hee did mention to mee when I was in
England, For I thinke it will doe no harme, if the stile be temperate,
ye matter will find both in Germany & here many fauourers. I
purpose hereafter to write to him aboute it, but I deferre till I can
make a sure conjecture of ye issue of matters at this dyet w:ch is
called as well for matters Ecclesiastical] as Ciuill. I wish you would
send mee a letter to the Lord Channc: to renewe his Zeale and to
recommend mee to him.

Cum tempus hactenus ferre non potuerit ut Coram causas
ad-ventus mei in hasce partes Illust. V:ræ exponerem; atque intelligam
ab urbe iam discessuram Illustr. V:ram. Rogo ne hanc parrhesiam
in malam partem accipiat; qua redimendi temporis causa summatim
ea proponam quæ ad informationem Illust:is Mag. V:ræ spectare
poterunt in meo instituto; ut postea quando occasio feret, resciscere
queam quid mihi liceat circa scopum meum permissu Vestro Conari;
cum enim iam a tot annis constanti studio causam hanc prosecutus
sim, neque mihi fas esse iudicem a conatu desistere, nisi prius oblata
huic statui atque Ecclesiæ totius rei cognitione, ut quid hinc auxilij
sperari possit ad tam sanctam causam iuvanda[m] intelligatur: ideo
post absolutum superiori anno Ecclesiarum Belgicarum curriculum,
& susceptum erga reliquas Augustanas itineris propositum: hue primo
me contuli, præsertim cum scirem aduenturum ad hasce oras Illustr.
V:ram a cuius singulari Prudentia atque Pietate, uti antehac, ita nunc
fauorem omnem exspecto; etenim sine notitia & permissione Excelhiæ
V:ræ nihil attentare in hoc regno aut apud hanc Ecclesiam mihi
immutabili decreto propositum est.
Cum ergo in omnibus alijs (excepta Dania atque Holsatia) locis,
negotium hoc agitatum inter Ecclesiarum Antistites, & status publici
Rectores, fuerit; mihique permissu horum ab illis super meo instituto
