Stockholme, 6. may [1637].
My last was from Westerose wherein I gave you an account
of my p[ro]ceedings; since I have beene att Vpsall & made a
be-gining with the professors, but haveing vnderstood of m:r B. & m:r
B. arrivall to this place & they had letters to mee of greate
Importance I thought it my duty to come hither to meete with them
before I did proceed any further, not knowing what hints & helpe
I might gett by them. At this little meeting w:ch hath bene at
Vpsall the reformacon of the vniversitie hath beene cheefely Intended
for the effecting of w:ch some grounds have beene laid w:ch at the
future meeting in this place are to bee p[er]fected.
I suppose y:t in this matter of agreem[en]t they wilbe easily

Rest. The lord chancellour hath tould mee since hee cam[e] hither
y:t after my departure from Vpsall hee spoke with the professors in
behalfe of my worke, & did recommend it vnto them. I intend to
returne thither within few dayes god willing.
I pray salute mr. W.[?] & thanke him for his letter, & y:t of
mr. secret. Cooke by w:ch I find more honour deferred vnto mee
then I deserve; before I returne to Vpsall I will give them & [=an]
account of all my p[ro]ceedings.
As for state affayres I know the one wilbe a helpe to the
other if matters proceed well, but if they p[ro]ceed not I would not
have the one to bee a stop to the other. Therefore I must labour
