it; for this cause I haue differred writing till now; & till I haue
matter of moment; &: of good acceptance I will bee loath to write
herafter. In the meane tyrne y:t these necessarye occasions bind
me to this place I entreat humbly y:t my licence for beeing absent
from my cure may bee renewed; for although it can not alone
maintaine me here, yet it is a necessarye helpe; & because other
outward helpes seeme to faile more now then heretofore, & my
engagement to the worke becometh now greater then formerly, I
hope God will prouide also for further maintenance. Thus I take
my leaue, & commending yowr Grace to the blessing of almighty
God I rest

Ad Illustriss:m Fæderis Euangelici Directorem Euangelica & Religiösa
Propositio Joh. Duræi.
Ego ingenue fatebor Illustriss:e & Magnificentiss:e Domine me
grauem in animo meo luctam sustinuisse ab aliquo tempore, aduersus
occultos tristitiæ atque Iracundiæ stimulos a varijs iustisque causis
mihi iniectos; sed tamen præualuit amor Pacis, nec potuit hue
usque quicquam me eo impellere ut ex hoc loco discedere voluerim
affectu magis alienato quam hue accessi. Ergo pacificum instituti
mei scopum Vestræ Gentis honori, Vestræque Illustritatis supremæ
in Euangelica causa Directioni præ alijs a meo affectu dicatum
inter-mittere adhuc non decreui, ut aut priuatæ existimationis meæ
respec-tibus, aut vitæ tranquillioris commoditatibus indulgeam. Nec iam
intentabo cuiquam de iniurijs mihi hactenus oblatis litem, nec
ex-postulabo offensiones: sed omnino apud animum meum constitui in
lenitatis & patientiæ proposito spiritum continere, & ita obfirmare
animum ut si ulla vel divina vel Humana ratione-fieri possit,
sopian-tur offensionum causae, omniumque scrupulis si qui proponantur
satis-fiat, ut ad legitimam aliquando &: sedatam Consilij theologici super
instituto meo inter partes communicationem deueniatur.
Et ne consilij mei hac in parte ratio lateat eximiam Illustntis
V:ræ Sapientiam; liceat hoc loco reuocare Illustr:ti V:ræ in
memoriam illud quod superiori anno (postquam absolueram cum Theologis
