Towards the Light
Woe to the man who scorns the
gift of life,
Who, greatly daring Heaven,
would extinguish
The spark Divine, which burns
within his soul
The deed is vain, he only makes
more sure
The fate he has created by his acts.
The sacred tie, uniting soul and
body.
Is only severed at the Lord*s
Command.
The will of thy Creator links thy
spirit
Still for a time to this poor clay.
