21. August dette Aar tabtes det, idet det under
Lodning faldt ud af Hylsteret. Til Bestemmelse af dets
Correctioner haves en Række Sammenligninger ombord
metl Normalthermometer og desuden samtidige
Registreringer af Bundtemperaturen af No. V og et af de andre
Miller-Casella- Thermometre, hvis Constanter senere bleve
nøjagtigt bestemte.
Miller-Casella No. V.
This thermometer we used in 1876 alone. On
August 21 of that year, the instrument was lost, having
fallen out of the case 011 a sounding. For determining
its corrections there are a series of comparisons taken
on board with the Standard-Thermometer, as also
regis-trings of the bottom-temperature’ with No. V and
simultaneously with one of the other Miller-Cassella
thermometers, the constants of which were afterwards accurately
worked out.
