Meteorological Institute at various temperatures, and its
reading at 0° C. determined in melting ice. From these
observations, a formula was computed for the reading of
the piezometer as function of the temperature, in the
following manner: —

C. and reckoned to the division 0 mm. on the
capillary tube;

division, or that corresponding to a height of
1 mm. of the capillary tube;
