gonidea (Pantopoda) beskrives imidlertid 2 Arter, P.
nodosum og P. pusillum, der begge er vel adskilte fra den
typiske Art. Hertil kommer endnu en ny nordisk Art,
P. crassirostre, som i det følgende nærmere skal beskrives.
Arterne af denne Slægt er let kjendelige ved deres
ualmindelig undersætsige Kropsform, korte og kraftige
Gangfødder, de ualmindelig haarde og knudrede Integumenter og
den enkle, kageformige ydre Ægmasse. De synes delvis
at føre et halvt parasitiskt Liv, idet de ofte er fundne
fast-klamrede til Aetinier og andre lavere Sødyr.

in the Bay of Naples, are described 2 species, P. nodosum
and P. pusillum, both quite distinct from the typical species.
Besides these, there is a new Northern species, P.
crassirostre, to be described farther on. The species of this
genus are easily recognizable by their remarkably thickset
form of body, short and powerful ambulatory legs, the
hard and rugged integuments, and the simple, cake-shaped
outer egg-mass. They would seem in great part to lead a
parasitical life, being often found firmly clasped to
Actin-ians and other low-organized marine animals.
